Top Recognition for Simpsons Garden Centre

The north’s leading destination garden centre has been awarded ‘Garden Centre of Excellence’ status, the top industry recognition, at this years’ Garden Centre Association (GCA) annual conference in Cirencester.

Inverness based Simpsons Garden Centre was awarded ‘Garden Centre of Excellence’ by their industry body, The Garden Centre Association, an award only given to the top 10 garden centres in the UK.

Overall results from the annual GCA audit saw Simpsons place in the top 10 from over 200 garden centres across the UK, resulting in the centre receiving the coveted ‘Garden Centre of Excellence’ achievement.

The Inverness based independent has already picked up regional awards including Best Restaurant and Indoor Plants following the 2023 GCA inspections and this continued recognition from the sector’s official governing body is great testament for Simpson’s hard work and determination as well as a great achievement for Inverness’s thriving business community.

The Inverness based garden centre also picked up recognition for their ‘Bee on Board’ marketing campaign, encouraging everyone to plant for bees and wildlife which was launched last year.

“The Garden Centre of Excellence recognition is a fitting acknowledgement for all the hard work our team puts in on a daily basis,” said MD Andrew Simpson. “By continuing to have the right people with a keen eye for the right product, great staff service, specialist knowledge across all areas, expertise in the kitchen, and the determination not to compromise on standards, our team constantly strive to be the best for our customers and local community.

“We also listen to our customers and are very aware of our environmental responsibilities and the ways that we can promote sustainability this across the business. By introducing solar panels in 2023, we’ve already saved over 11,000kg of CO2 emissions – the equivalent of planting 665 trees.
