The magic starts the minute you arrive where you’ll be met at the elf check-in desk, as well as a few of our resident North Pole friends!
Don’t forget to listen to the pre-flight info…then, make yourself comfortable as you and your family and friends step onto Santa’s sleigh and transport yourself to the North Pole with your own VR headset. Feel the rush of the sleigh as it takes off and the wind in your face as you virtually ‘fly through the air’ with DASH the reindeer for a festive adventure that’s not to be missed!!
After your sleigh ride, make your way through to visit Santa.
Our sleigh ride takes up to 6 people per booking slot. Everyone can experience the sleigh, however if you suffer from epilepsy, motion sickness or vertigo, please ride in the front seat and without headsets.
We recommend the virtual reality sleigh ride experience for children 5 years and over. Children between 3 and 5 years may ride using the headsets with parental discretion (see T&C’s below). Under 3’s should ride the sleigh viewing the 2D screens only.
Hello Santa!
Once you’ve tested Santa’s sleigh ride, it’s on to meet the Big Man himself in our magical Santa’s grotto room. Let Santa know how much you enjoyed your sleigh ride and have a chat about the up and coming festive season.
All children attending the Santa experience will receive a wrapped gift.
(Make sure you let us know the appropriate age for children visiting)
Ticket prices: Children £14.99, Adults £6, babies £8.99
Each slot can accommodate up to 6 people. Prices also include your Santa experience visit.
VR only slots are available Wednesday to Friday 12pm – 3pm.

- WHERE CAN I BUY TICKETS: Tickets are available to book HERE.
- CAN I JUST TURN UP? Yes, however we would advise everyone to pre-book slots in advance, to ensure that you get the date and time you’re looking for and avoid disappointment if you don’t. On the day slots may be available and our team can let you know by calling the store or asking in person when here. On the day tickets can’t be booked online and can only be booked in store.
- WHAT SAFETY MEASURES DO YOU HAVE? Although COVID occurances are at a low, we are only allowing one group at a time on the sleigh ride. Staff will be cleaning the ride to maintain strict hygiene protocol between every session. Hand sanitisers will be available at the entrance and exit of the sleigh.
- ARE THERE ANY HEALTH CONDITIONS THAT MEAN I CAN’T RIDE? The sleigh is suitable for everyone. However if you suffer from epilepsy, motion sickness or vertigo please ride in the front seat and don’t wear the headsets. You will be able to experience the ride in 2D with the giant screen at the front.
- DO I HAVE TO WEAR A MASK? No, unless you want to. However we politely ask that you do not travel to the garden centre if you have COVID symptoms.
- CAN MY CHILDREN RIDE ALONE? No, all children under 16 years must be accompanied by an adult
- WHERE IS THE EXPERIENCE LOCATED? The experience will be signposted on arrival. However our team are here to help if you need it. Please note this experience is ONLY AVAILABLE at Simpsons INVERNESS.
- WHAT AGE IS IT SUITABLE FOR? Due to the size and weight of the VR goggles, we recommend the virtual reality sleigh ride experience for children 5 years and over. Children between 3years and 5 years may ride using the headsets with parental discretion. Under 3’s should not wear the headsets.
- The ride can also be experienced without headsets in 2D as there is a large screen positioned at the front of the sleigh. This will allow small children and babies to brought into the experience, and can sit on a parents knee, or stay in a buggy at the side of the sleigh if they are sleeping.
- WHAT IS THE REFUND POLICY? If we find it necessary to close the ride, we will offer a full refund or the option to book an alternative session (subject to availability)
- If you are late for your booked time slot or fail to attend your session, without any contact with experience team, unfortunately we cannot offer a refund.
- CAN I CHANGE MY BOOKING SLOT? We will do our best to move any bookings within 48 hours of the booked slot, subject to availability. Refunds will only be offered for bookings cancelled more than 48 hours of slot.
