Wishing Well Donations Help Action for Children Inverness
Simpsons Garden Centre in Inverness has donated £600 to local charity ‘Action for Children’ through money collected at their front entrance Rotary Club of Inverness Culloden wishing well.
As they say ‘every penny counts’, and the pennies from the Rotary wishing well in the garden centre entrance area have been counted – with a cheque for £600 was donated to the Family Visitor Centre at Action For Children Inverness from Rotary Club of Inverness Culloden.
Simpsons, who were recently awarded ‘Garden Centre of Excellence’ by the Garden Centre Association for being one of the top 10 Garden centres in the UK, have a strong commitment to local communities and charities. And thank their customers for giving so generously to the Rotary Club Culloden wishing well.
Hannah Kinsman, Support Worker for Action for Children Scotland, said “The money will be used in the centre to create artwork to hang on the walls. The artwork will be made with the families and we hope it will be something that develops through time.
“This donation will enable families to come together, creating something that they can be proud of and will add character to the centre. In addition to this, the rest of the donation will be put towards food parcels, warm jacket and warm winter clothing for children, as well emergency heating payments for their homes.”
