Inverness business named Scotland’s Top Destination Garden Centre
Simpsons Garden Centre in Inverness is delighted to have again been awarded ‘Best Destination Garden Centre’ in Scotland for 2019/20 by the Garden Centre Association (GCA), the UK’s leading authority on garden centre customer experience.
The lnverness favourite also picked up other awards including Best Restaurant, GIMA (Garden Industry Manufacturer’s Association) award for best garden products and the Barton Grange Trophy for Innovation and Creativity.
And the excitement’s not over yet – as one of this year’s top scoring centres in Scotland, Simpsons is also in the running for UK Destination Garden Centre of the Year Award and the Ruxley Rose award for the top UK Plant Area and Garden Centre of Excellence awards (for the top 10 garden centres in the UK). These awards will be announced at the GCA annual conference taking place in January 2020.
These awards are based on the results of the annual inspections carried out by the GCA.
This is the 4th year in a row Simpsons have been named the top Destination Garden Centre in Scotland.
Such positive, ongoing recognition from the sector’s official governing body is a great boost for Simpsons and Inverness as it aims to attract more visitors.
Managing Director Andrew Simpson said: “Everyone here at Simpsons is so pleased to receive these awards. Our success is thanks to all of our teams across the garden centre who work so hard, individually and collaboratively, to inspire each other and our customers on a daily basis.”
“These awards not only recognise everyone’s constant and consistent drive to deliver higher standards and great customer service, but also show that we are working hard to inspire and excite our customers with great displays, quality products and innovative events throughout the year.”
“The GCA inspections are a great way for us all to improve across the board year on year”.
Andrew Simpson believes a big part of the company’s success is down to its strong and loyal customer base. In recognition of this, Simpsons strive to give something back to the community that has supported them from the beginning, with over £20,000 being raised and donated to support local charities, schools and community groups in 2018 alone.
