Inverness Shinty Club’s Primary Team were showing off their new kit last weekend at Simpsons Garden Centre, Inverness.
The new kit is sponsored by the local award winning garden centre, and the youngsters popped in to show off the new kit.
The primary level team trains every Sunday (Winter – Culloden Academy 11 – 12noon and Summer Bught Park from 10:30am until 12pm) and youngsters from across the city are encouraged to come along and give it a try. The club supply all equipment and have lots of volunteer coaches who take the training every week.
Siobhan MacBean, Marketing Executive at Simpsons Garden Centre said: “We regularly support local organisations and charities and this sponsorship is one of the latest pledges we’ve made to support our local community. Sponsoring the Inverness shinty primary team was an easy decision for us and it’s a pleasure to support a local team at grass roots level. We hope everyone enjoys wearing the new kit, they certainly looked very smart”.

The primary team continues to grow with over 40 enthusiastic girls and boys thriving on the coaching and guidance and fun given every Sunday. Our youth is our future and this sponsorship deal helps to sow the seeds for an ambitious future.”
